香港では待ち時間が長かったのでラウンジで暇をつぶすことにしました。ラウンジはPLAZA Premium LOUNGEです。無線LANは無料で使えます。
I went to the airline lounge because I had to wait for the next flight for a long time at the airport. The lounge for NH is the PLAZA Premium LOUNGE. Free WiFi service is available there.

さすが美食の街香港のラウンジだけあって、フードコーナーは充実しています。
There are a lot of foods and drinks there.

このラウンジの奥半分はANA専用のラウンジになっています。元日だったせいかこも樽が置いてありました。
The back room is exclusively for the NH passengers. A barrel of Japanese sake was served probably to celebrate the beginning of the year on 1 January.

搭乗時刻となりNH910に乗り込みました。プレミアムエコノミーは2-3-2のゆったりシートです（エコノミーは3-4-3）。シートにはパソコン用電源が装備されています。
I boarded NH910. The configuration of the premium economy is 2-3-2 (that of the economy is 3-4-3). The seat width and pitch are wider than that of the economy. The seat has an outlet.

まずはサッポロビールと白ワインを頼みました。
I ordered Sapporo Beer and white wine.

メインディッシュはサーモンとパスタに、パン、サラダ、そうめん、キットカットがつきます。食後に赤ワインを頼みました。
The main dish was salmon and pasta with bread, salad, somen noodle and KitKat. Then I had red wine.

マカオからターボジェットで香港国際空港へ行くことになりました。チケットは185パタカです。
I left Macau for the Hong Kong International Airport by TurboJet. The ticket costs MOP185.

これが乗船ゲートです。チェックラップコックってこんな字を書くんですね。
These photos show the gate.

ターボジェットの船体と、客室です。揺れもほとんどなく快適でした。
These photos show the fleet of the TurboJet and its cabin. The sail was comfortable without tumbling.

1時間もしないで香港国際空港に着きました。下船するとすでにそこは制限区域内です。ANAのカウンターがあり、そこでチェックインしたら、まずはプレミアムエコノミーへのアップグレードの案内。ラッキー！それから左の写真のような書類を渡されました。なんとNH910のチケットに切り込まれている香港の空港使用税が返却になるとのことです。右の写真の案内ボードの通り、左側に行くと空港使用税返却カウンターがあり120香港ドル返してもらいました。その後右側に行ってバスに乗ります。
It took less than one hour to go to the Hong Kong International Airport. The pier where I disembarked was the restricted area of the airport. I checked in at NH's counter that I could found very soon. It was very lucky to hear that my seat would be upgraded to the Premium Economy. In addition, they gave me the Refund Coupons shown at the left photo, saying that the Air Passenger Departure Tax would be refunded in exchange of the coupons. According to the guide shown at the right photo, I went to the left side to have the tax refunded at the Tax Refund Entrance, and then proceeded to the right side to take a bus.

しばらくバスで行くと、ターミナルのバスゲートにつきました。そこから搭乗ゲートまで案内の通り進みます。
It took several minutes to go to the bus gate of the terminal. I proceeded further toward the boarding gate.

案内通り進むと空港のシャトル電車の乗り場に着きました。シャトル電車に乗り、降りるとエスカレーターがあり、それで上がるとようやく出発階に到達します。入管や税関は通りませんが、動線は非常に長いです。ターボジェットから飛行機へ乗り継ぐための最低乗り継ぎ時間が2時間というのもうなずけます。
Then I found a station of the shuttle train. I took the shuttle train. After I got off the train, I could finally find the escalator to go up to the departure floor. It takes time to go from the pier of the TurboJet to the departure floor. That reminded me that the Minimum Connecting Time (MCT) from sea to air was two hours.

マカオフェリーターミナルにはハチソンテレコムのプリペイドSIMの自動販売機があります。
There is a vending machine of Hutchison Telecom's prepaid SIM for GSM mobile phones at the Macau Ferry Terminal.

リチャージ可能なSIMは150パタカで、おそらく使いきりのSIMは50パタカでした。リチャージ可能な方は国際ローミング可能とあったのでちょっとそそられましたが、香港のプリペイドSIMがあるのでやめました。
A rechargeable prepaid SIM and a prepaid SIM are sold at MOP150 and MOP50, respectively. The rechargeable prepaid SIM features the international roaming service.

マカオフェリーターミナルで朝食をとろうとウロウロしていたところ、美味そうなバーガーを発見しました。豬扒包とありましたが、ローストポーク、タマネギ、カラシマヨネーズのハンバーガーでした。コーラと一緒で美味しかったです。後でわかったのですが、実はこの豬扒包はマカオ名物カツバーガーでした。今度は有名店でトライしてみます。
I found a burger looking delicious when I was looking for a restaurant to have breakfast at the Macau Ferry Terminal. It was a pork chop burger with roasted pork, onion and mustard mayonnaise. It was very good with coke. I got to know later that the pork chop burger was one of the famous Macanese foods. I want to try it again in Macau.

マカオ料理の店佛笑樓に行ってみました。お目当てはアフリカンチキンです。場所は少しわかりにくいところにあります。
I went trying the African Chicken at a Macanese restaurant Fat Siu Lau. The place may be difficult to be found.

アフリカンチキンはスパイスの利いた料理と聞いていたので、赤ワインにしてみました。パンはここでも自動的に出てきます。
I ordered red wine with the African Chicken because I heard it was spicy. Bread was served automatically.

まずは定番カルドベルデです。しばらくするとアフリカンチキンが出てきました。これはチキンカレーというかカレーチキンですね。辛さもマレーシアで食べた辛いチキンカレーといい勝負です。辛いですがとても美味しく、また赤ワインが非常によく合いました。お会計は165パタカでした。
Then caldo verde soup was served followed by the African Chicken. The sauce of the African Chicken was similar to curry and was as hot as the hot chicken curry that I had tried in Malaysia before. It was very delicious and matched red wine well. The total came to MOP165.

やはりマカオまで来たらポルトガルワインを買わないで帰るのはもったいないです。百利來はポルトガルワインを扱う酒販店としてはマカオでは大きく、ワンフロアーすべてワイン売り場です。今回は、ビーニョベルデとポートを購入しました。
You should buy Portuguese wines if you come to Macau. The Supermarket Pavilions is one of the biggest shops of Portuguese wines in Macau. The sales area for Portuguese wines occupies all one floor of the shop. This time I purchased vinho verde and porto wines.

さて、6本も買ってしまうと関税が気になるかも知れません。特に香港を経由してしまうと、香港のお酒の関税が非常に高いのでなんとか避けたいところです。しかしここで一工夫があり、後述するマカオから香港国際空港へ直行するターボジェットに乗ると、香港では国際線のトランジットの扱いになり、香港へ入国することもありませんし、香港の税関も通りません（このルートにはもう一つお得なことがあるのですが、それは後程）。よって香港の関税を払わなくて済むので、日本の関税だけで済みます。3本超過分で成田で払った税金はたったの400円でした。元日納税です（祝）。
You may worry about the import tax if you buy many bottles. Especially Hong Kong imposes a very high import tax on liquors. However, if you take a TurboJet ferry directly to the Hong Kong International Airport from Macau, you do not have to pass the passport control or the customs in Hong Kong because this transfer is treated as an international transit (In addition, this route has another benefit that I will tell you later.) Thus you do not have to pay the import tax at Hong Kong. This time I paid 400 yen only for the import tax imposed on the excess three bottles at the customs at the Narita Airport.

何だかんだ言いつつもマカオタワーに来てしまいました。しかもこのマカオタワー、なぜかお笑い系の人の訪問が多いのが特徴です。
I visited the Macau Tower. I do not know why so many Japanese comedians would like to visit there.

チケットは展望フロアーに行くだけでしたら70パタカです。もっとお金を払って、スカイウォークという展望台の外を体験するツアーはどうかと言われましたが、止めておきました。実は高所恐怖症なんです。
The ticket only for the observatory floor costs MOP70. The reception recommended me to try the Sky Walk Tour to walk outside the observatory with an additional charge. But I did not agree with them because I was an acrophobe.

これがエレベータホールへの入口です。途中なぜかアルビノの虎の展示がありました。タイヤかじっていましたけどね。
I went through the entrance to the elevator hall. I found an albino tiger biting a tire on the way.

展望フロアーは58階です。このとき残念ながら結構霧がかかっていて眺めはよくなかったです。
The observatory is located on the 58th floor. It was foggy unfortunately when I visited there.

左の写真はリスボアホテル方面です。夜になると煌々と輝いていますね。右の写真はタイパ島にかかる2本の橋です。
The photo at the left shows the brilliant view of the Lisboa Hotel at the night. The photo at the right shows the two bridges to Taipa Island.

You can learn a lot of information on Portuguese wines at the Wine Museum in Macau. The Grand Prix Museum is located next to the Wine Museum.

入場料は15パタカです。
The entrance fee is MOP15.

展示スペースは、写真とボトルの展示が中心です。展示場内で一杯試飲ができます。
A lot of photos and wine bottles are displayed there. You can try a glass of Portuguese wine free of charge there.

松山ケーブルカーでギアの丘に登り、ギアの灯台を見に行きました。チケットは往復で3パタカです。
I went up to the Guia Hill by cable car to see the Guia Fort. A round trip costs MOP3.

これが山麓駅の入口です。営業時間は月曜日を除く午前8時～午後6時です。
This is the station at the foot of the hill. The operation hours are from 8 a. m. to 6 p. m. It is closed on Monday.

ここのケーブルカーは2人がけです。1～2分で山頂駅に着きます。
Each cable car is for two persons. It takes one or two minutes to go to the station at the top of the hill.

まずは山頂駅近くの地図でギアの灯台の場所をチェック。途中に昔の砲台がありました。
The photo shows the map of the hill. You can check the route from there to the Guia Fort. There is an old cannon on the way.

これがマカオのランドマークの一つギアの灯台です。砦自体は1638に作られた古いものですが、灯台は1865年からのもので中国沿岸では最古の灯台です。開門時間は午前9時～午後5時です。
The lighthouse on the Guia Fort is one of the landmarks of Macau. The fort was built in 1638. The lighthouse built in 1865 is the oldest one on the China coast. The lighthouse is open from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m.

ここはマカオで一番高いところにあるので、眺めは非常によいです。友誼大橋方面と、山が見えるのは中国本土方面です。
The hill is the highest in Macau. You can enjoy nice views from there. The photos show the view of the Friendship Bridge and the view of the mainland China.

山麓駅の近くにはフローラ庭園があります。ポルトガル語ではJardim da Floraで花公園ですが、中国語では二龍喉公園で全然違います。
The Flora Garden is situated near the station at the foot of the hill. The name in Portuguese Jardim da Flora means Garden of Flower. But the name in Chinese is totally different, meaning Garden of Twin Dragons' Fauces.

マカオで有名なポルトガルレストラン、ア・ロルシャで昼食をとりました。それにしてもマカオにはポルトガル語を話す人が一体どこにいるんだろうというくらいなかなか遭いませんが、ここには沢山いました。いるところには、いるんですねえ。
I had a lunch at one of the most famous Portuguese restaurant A Lorcha in Macau. I encountered a lot of Portuguese-speaking people here though I had never seen them in other places in Macau.

まずは手始めにビーニョ・ベルデです。パンは自動的に付いてきます。
I began with vinho verde. Bread is served automatically.

タコサラダとカルド・ベルデを頼んでみました。タコサラダは、タコの他にコリアンダー、ニンニク、オリーブオイルに、ショウガのようなものが入っていて刺激があります。カルド・ベルデはキャベツとソーセージが入ったポテトスープです。
These photos show octopus salad and caldo verde. The octopus salad is octopus with coriander, garlic, olive oil and something stimulative that may be ginger. The caldo verde is potato soup with cabbage and sausage.

これはロルシャ風アサリです。ニンニクとオリーブオイルで味付けされており、ビーニョ・ベルデの肴には最高でした。
This photo shows clams cooked with garlic and olive oil. It was the best match for vinho verde.

マカオには、新福利（Transmac）と澳巴（TCM）の2社のバス会社があり、市内観光には安くて便利な交通手段です。半島内のバス運賃は2.5パタカですが、基本的におつりが出ないので乗る前にいちいち小銭を用意しなくてはいけません。しかし、そんなことを考えながらバスに乗ろうとしたら、カードをピッと機械にタッチさせて乗っている人を偶然発見したのでした。
In Macau there are two bus companies that are Transmac and TCM. The buses are cheap and convenient transportation facilities for sight-seeing there. The bus fee is MOP2.5 for a single journey within the peninsula Macau. You have to have exact MOP2.5 in coins before you take a bus because they never change bigger money. But I found somebody use a card instead of paying money incidentally when I took a bus.

調べたところ、これは新福利バスが出しているマカオパスという非接触型ICカードだとわかりました。値段は80パタカで、30パタカのデポジットが含まれます。使えるのはカードリーダーを搭載している新福利バスだけで、機械のない新福利バスや澳巴バスでは使用できません。と言っても、ほとんどの新福利バスはカードリーダーを搭載しています。カードはフェリーターミナルのバス乗り場にある切符売り場で買いました。ちなみに、このマカオパスカードは漢字では澳門通儲値卡と書きます。
I got to know it was a contactless IC card called “Macau Pass” of Transmac. The price is MOP80 including a deposit of MOP30. This card can be used for the Transmac buses attached with the card readers while other buses, which are Transmac buses without card readers and TCM buses, do not accept the card. But most Transmac buses are attached with the card readers. I purchased this card at the ticket counter at the bus terminal in front of the Ferry Terminal.

中国語、英語、ポルトガル語で注意事項を書いたカードも一緒にくれます。
They gave me a card of the instructions written in Chinese, English and Portuguese.

ついでにフェリーターミナルで無料で配っているバス路線図も一緒に手に入れておくと非常に便利です。
I recommend you to obtain a free bus route map available from the Ferry Terminal together with the card.

さて、このマカオパス、今のところ新福利バスでしか使えませんが、香港のオクトパスカードのようになるのでしょうか？個人的には香港のオクトパスカードがマカオでも使えると有り難いのですが。
Currently the Macau Pass can be used only for Transmac buses. Will this card become like the Octopus Card of Hong Kong? I would be very happy if the Octopus Card were able to be used also in Macau.

ハイアットリージェンシーマカオはタイパ島にあるホテルですが、残念なことに今年（2006年）6月30日で営業を終了します（マカオ観光局のホームページ参照）。2006年6月29日までJourney of Memoriesという営業終了キャンペーン実施中です。
The Hyatt Regency Macau is a hotel situated in Taipa Island. But unfortunately it will be closed on 30 June 2006. They offer a closure package named "Journey of Memories" until 29 June 2006.

ベッドルームにはダブルベッド、デスクが配置されています。
The bedroom is equipped with a double-sized bed and a desk.

また、テレビ、イスもあります。
It is also equipped with TV and a chair.

バスルームはこんな感じですが、少々古くなっている印象を受けました。
The photos show the bathroom. It looks a little bid old.

コンセントはBFタイプですので、日本のAプラグを使う場合はゴーゴンなどのプラグ変換器が必要です。
The type of the outlets is BF. If your plugs are other types than BF, you need plug converters.

部屋の中では無線LANが使えます。
WiFi is available in the room.

CTMのログイン画面が出てきましたが、有料のようでしたので、今回は使いませんでした。
You will be asked to sign in to CTM's service if you launch the browser.

ホテルはタイパ島にあるため、半島部に行くためには足が必要ですが、ホテルから中国銀行（リスボアホテル近く）とマカオフェリーターミナルを巡回する無料のシャトルバスが出ているので便利です。ホテルの案内によると、ホテル発の時刻表は以下の通りです（変更されることがあるので要確認）。
ハイアット発＞中国銀行＞フェリーターミナル＞ハイアット
０７：００－０９：３０　毎時００、３０分発
１０：００－１９：４０　毎時００、２０、４０分発
２０：００－２３：３０　毎時００、３０分発
ハイアット発＞中国銀行＞ハイアット

フェリーターミナルのバス乗り場は、右の写真にあるホテルシャトルバス乗り場付近です。
As the hotel is located in Taipa Island, you will need transportation when you go to the peninsula Macau. The hotel offers the free shuttle bus service to go to the Bank of China near the Lisboa Hotel and the Macau Ferry Terminal from the hotel. The timetable is as follows (the timetable is subject to change):
Hyatt—Bank of China—Ferry Terminal—Hyatt
07:00–09:30 Every 30 minutes
10:00–19:40 Every 20 minutes
20:00–23:30 Every 30 minutes
Hyatt—Bank of China—Hyatt
00:00–01:00 Every 30 minutes

コロアン島（路環島）にあるロードストーベーカリー（澳門安德魯餅店／澳門安徳魯餅店）に行ってみました。エッグタルトというと香港が有名ですが、実は香港よりもマカオの方が元祖でして、マカオの中でもこのロードストーベーカリーが元祖です。店構えはそれほど大きくありません。
I visited Lord Stow's Bakery situated in Coloane Island. Egg tarts are popular in Hong Kong now. But Lord Stow's Bakery in Macau introduced original egg tarts to Asia. The shop is not so big.

エッグタルトは1個5.5パタカです。
An egg tart costs MOP5.5.

できたてはもちろん美味しいですが、冷めてもとても美味しかったです。次回はLonely Planetに書いてあるチーズケーキにも挑戦してみたいです。
Warm egg tarts are excellent. They are also delicious eaten cold. I want to try their cheesecake mentioned in Lonely Planet next time.

香港で購入したSmarTone-vodafoneのプリペイドSIM、PayGo（前回記事参照）はGPRSローミングができるので早速マカオのコロアン島で試してみました。オペレーターの表示がSmarToneになっていますが、これはマカオのSmarToneです。GPRSパラメーターは前回記事と同様で接続可能でした。スピードは26.2kbpsとまあまあです。
I tried GPRS roaming in Coloane Island, Macau with a prepaid SIM PayGo of the SmarTone-vodafone purchased in Hong Kong (refer to the previous article). The operator name “SmarTone” displayed on the phone was SmarTone Macau. The previous article was referred to for the GPRS parameter. The speed was 26.6 kbps. It was not so bad.

マカオは中国の珠海に非常に近く、中国移動通信（前回記事参照）の電波も拾うので、GPRSを試してみましたが、GPRS通信は確立するものの、そこから先の通信ができませんでした。やはり距離が遠かったのでしょう。
As Macau is very near Zhuhai, mobile phones can catch the radio wave of the China Mobile (refer to the previous article) from the mainland China. Though I tried GPRS with the China Mobile, GPRS communication was established but the following data communication was not succeeded. I think the distance was too far for the GPRS communication.

マカオのビールというとあまりピンと来ませんが、いくつかのビールがあります。
There are some local Macau beers.

まずはマカオビールです。CERVEJARIA DE MACAUはマカオのビール醸造所の意味だと思います。このビールですが、日本のキリンの技術で作ったとあります。意外な発見でした。
The photo shows the Macau Beer. I think CERVEJARIA DE MACAU means the brewery of Macau. It was brewed with Japan's KIRIN brewing technology.

もう一つは海珠ビールです。やはり日本のキリンの技術で作ったとあります。
Another beer of Macau is the Haizhu Beer. It was also brewed with Japan's KIRIN brewing technology.

この海珠ビールは清爽型とあります。ドライということでしょうか？
I think this type of the Haizhu Beer must be a dry.

ウェスティンリゾートマカオの周りにはお店がなさそうだったので、ホテルの中にあるカフェパノラマで夕食をとることにしました。
There seemed to be no restaurants near the Westin Resort Macau. So, I went to the Café Panorama in the hotel.

まずはマカオに来たらまずこれを一杯やらないと気が済みません。ポルトガル産ビーニョベルデです。微発泡性の白ワインで、魚介類と非常に相性がよいです。
I always begin with a glass of this in Macau. It is vinho verde from Portugal. It is a slightly sparkling white wine suitable for sea foods.

パンは自動的に出てきます。
Bread is served automatically.

メインディッシュはスズキのソテーです。オリーブオイルを使ったポルトガル風の味付けで、大変美味しかったです。
The main dish was sea bass sautéed with olive oil in Portuguese style. It was very delicious.

アップルワールドでウェスティンリゾートマカオを予約する

コロアン島にあるリゾートホテル、ウェスティンリゾートマカオに宿泊しました。マカオの中心からかなり離れているので、周りはとても静かで、のんびり過ごすには最適です。
I stayed in the Westin Resort Macau that was a resort hotel situated in Coloane Island. As it is far from the Macau Center, it is so quiet around there that you can stay there with much relaxation.

ベッドルームは、ダブルベッド、テレビ、デスクという構成です。
The bedroom is equipped with a double-sized bed, TV and a desk.

テレビの下には冷蔵庫がありましたが、結構中は沢山入っていました。
There is a refrigerator under the TV. It is almost full.

バスルームは大理石でできた贅沢な作りです。
The marbled bathroom is luxurious.

バスタブのほかに、独立したシャワールームもありました。
A separate showroom is equipped besides a bathtub.

プライベートテラスは、テーブル、イス、デッキチェアーがあり、黒沙ビーチの眺めが楽しめます。一泊ではちょっともったいなかったですね。
The private terrace is equipped with a table, chairs and a deck chair. You can enjoy the view of Hac Sa Beach from there.

デスクには電話が、その横に電話とLANのモジュラージャック、BFタイプのコンセントがありました。日本のプラグはそのままでは差せないので、ゴーゴンなどのプラグ変換器が必要です。
You will find a telephone on the desk and outlets for telephone and LAN and outlets for BF-type plugs. If you have other plugs than BF type, you will need a plug converter.

バスでこのホテルに来る人はあまりいないと思いますが、バスは一応15番です。

広州からバスでマカオへ行くことにしました。マカオ行きのバスと言っても実際は珠海にある中国側国境検問所に隣接した岐關車路バスターミナル行きで、中国側国境検問所からは歩いてマカオの国境検問所に行きます。
I was going to Macau from Guangzhou by bus. There is a bus route for Macau. But actually its final destination is the Kee Kwan Bus Terminal adjacent to the checkpoint at the Chinese side located in Zhuhai. After that, you have to walk from the Chinese checkpoint to the Macau checkpoint.

まずは、岐關車路バスのチケットを花園酒店（ガーデンホテル）にある広州花園国際旅行社チケットセンターで購入しました。運賃は60元です。そのとき何時のバスに乗るか予約を入れる必要があります。15:55発のバスを予約しました。バスはだいたい30分に1本の割合で出ています。
First of all I purchased a Kee Kwan Bus ticket from the Ticketing Center of the Garden International Travel Service, Guangzhou situated in the Garden Hotel. The fee is RMB60. You have to book a bus on the purchase of the ticket. I booked a bus departing at 15:55. The bus departs almost every 30 minutes.

こちらは、チケットセンターにあったバスの時刻表です。花園酒店からは、マカオ（実際は珠海の国境検問所）行きのほかに、香港、香港国際空港、マカオ国際空港行きの直通バスが出ています。
I found some timetables of buses at the Ticketing Center. There are bus routes from the Garden Hotel for Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Airport and Macau International Airport besides for Macau (actually the checkpoint located in Zhuhai).

チケットセンターの前で待っているとバスが来ました。これが乗ったバスです。赤いジャケットのお姉さんは車掌さんです。
The bus came just in front of the Ticketing Center. The photo shows the Kee Kwan Bus and a conductor with a red jacket.

渋滞もあったので3時間以上かかって、ようやく珠海の岐關車路バスターミナルに到着しました。しかし、出国審査場の場所がよくわからず少々迷うことに。。。バスの到着階が1階だとすれば、出国審査場は3階にあります。2階はショッピングモールです。それにしてもこの出国審査場、中国本土、マカオ、香港、台湾の人用のレーンはいくつもあるのでスイスイですが、それ以外の外国人用のレーンはなぜか一つしかなく、えらい並びました。中国側の出国手続きが済むと歩いてマカオ側の入国審査場に向かいます。
It took more than three hours to go to the Kee Kwan Bus Terminal located in Zhuhai due to traffic jam. In addition, it took a little bit more time to find out the checkpoint. The bus terminal is situated on Level 1 and the checkpoint is situated on Level 3. The shopping mall is situated on Level 2. At the checkpoint there are several lanes for passport holders of China, Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan so that they can pass smoothly. However, only one lane was open to foreigners. I waited for my turn for a long time. I walked to the checkpoint at the Macau side after the Chinese checkpoint.

マカオ側の入国審査場です。入口にENTRADASというポルトガル語の表記がありマカオに来たことを実感させられます。マカオの入国審査場は、外国人用のレーンが複数あり、それほど並びませんでした。
The photo shows the checkpoint at the Macau side. A Portuguese word "ENTRADAS" reminded me of coming to Macau. As several lanes were open to foreigners at the checkpoint at the Macau side, I could pass it soon.

マカオに到着です。ここからはタクシーか、地下のバスターミナルでバスに乗って、マカオ各地に向かうことになります。
I had just arrived at Macau. After entering Macau you can take a taxi or take a bus at the bus terminal located on the basement floor to any places in Macau.

ところで後からわかったことですが、広州の花園酒店から出ているマカオ国際空港行きのエアーリンクエキスプレス（澳門機場快線）に乗ると出入国検査が簡単らしいということがわかりました。次回試してみようと思います。
If I took the Air Link Express for the Macau International Airport from the Garden Hotel Guangzhou as mentioned above, the checkpoint procedures might have been much easier. I wish to try it next time.

越秀公園は広州の街の真ん中にあるとても大きい公園です。写真は地下鉄2号線越秀公園駅に一番近い門です。
Yuexiu Park is a very large park situated in the center of Guangzhou. The photo shows the gate nearest the Yuexiu Gongyuan Station of the Subway Line 2.

入場料は5元です。本当はチケットの右の方に描かれている広州のシンボル五羊石像（地球の歩き方広州・桂林と華南p.38）を見たかったのですが、時間がなくてたどり着けませんでした（泣）。まあ、それほど広いということです。ということで、五羊石像は次回のお楽しみということになりました。
The admission fee is RMB5. I wanted to see the Five Rams Statue, which was one of Guangzhou’s icons, painted at the right side of the ticket. But unfortunately I could not get to the statue within a limited time because the park was very large.

これまで日本のパスポート所持者はモンゴルへ渡航する際ビザ（査証）が必要でしたが、2006年4月1日～12月31日の間ビザが免除されることになり、この間はビザなしでモンゴルに渡航できるようになりました。最大滞在可能日数は90日ですが、30日を越えて滞在するときは入国から7日以内に移民帰化外国人局に登録しなくてはいけない点は従来と同じです。今年はモンゴル帝国建国800周年のイベントなども予定されているそうなので、ビザなしでフラッとモンゴルに行ってみるのもよいですね。

Japanese passport holders basically have to obtain visas before visiting Mongolia. However, the visa are waived for the Japanese passport holders between 1 April 2006 and 31 December 2006. The maximum duration to be allowed to stay is 90 days under this program. But you have to register at the Office of Immigration, Naturalization and Foreign Citizens within seven days from the entry to Mongolia if you wish to stay longer than 30 days. This year you can enjoy Mongolia without visas because a lot of events are planned on occasion of the 800th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Mongolian Statehood.
